How to Repromote Your Content without Being Spammy

Studies have proven that repromoting content on your social media channels can help build more awareness of your expertise and drive additional traffic to your website.

But how can you repromote your content without feeling like you’re spamming your social media followers? Here are a few simple tips to follow.

  1. Double check that the information in your old content is still accurate and up to date. If it’s not, revise it. If possible, make it even stronger by updating it with any new information.
  2. Don’t use the exact same social media post. Reframe it by changing the wording. For example, if you used a statement before, use a question, quote or compelling stat from your content instead.
  3. Don’t use the same image in your social media post. Switch it up to make it appear fresh.
  4. And lastly, the million-dollar question…how often should you repromote a piece of content? There is no hard and fast rule. Some companies will repromote a piece of content 3-4 times in the same day. Some repromote their content a few times per week. For some, it’s a few times per month. My suggestion would be to start out by doing what is manageable for your team. Then, track the results and adjust accordingly.

And one last suggestion…keep the process organized by setting up a monthly content repromotion schedule.
