Business Design Initiative (BDI) is a new institute at the University of Toronto Rotman School of Management leading education and research on innovation management through the application of Business Design™.
Our mission is to advance innovation education and practice so that students, researchers, and industry professionals can successfully tackle real-world business challenges.
We do this through education, research, and community. BDI programming enables business designers – from novice to expert – learn, lead, and make a positive impact on the world.
Education: we increase design-led innovation literacy in business leaders.
Research: we investigate business design impact, generate data, knowledge and new models for diverse communities of practice.
Community: we enable leadership and organizational transformation through events, workshops, collaborations, and global design challenges.
